These are valve keepers (valve cotters) for Yamaha jet skis and boats with the 450, 1000, 1800 and 1900 engines, WSM item 010-003-04. They replace Yamaha part number 3LD-12118-00-00 and are used when you have the cylinder head apart for a valve job or top end rebuild. Replace them rather than reuse worn keepers so the valve springs and retainers seat correctly.
