This WSM piston kit, item 100-47-06SK, replaces OEM 2720-889642A02 and covers the 3.0L six-cylinder Optimax engine found in Mercury and Mariner outboards and in the 250 hp Sea-Doo Challenger, Challenger X, Islandia and Utopia SE jet boats. Replace the pistons when the engine is being rebuilt or has lost compression. The top of the piston has an oval pocket, so check that against your old piston when you tear down.
